The order a coastal pool gets built in
A new pool is built from the ground up in a fixed sequence, and the order exists for sound reasons. We open with a real design that reckons with your lot, the grade, the access for equipment, the coastal drainage, and how you intend to use the water. Once you sign off on the plan and the renderings, we pull the permits, carry the structural engineering, and stake out the dig. Excavation gives the pool its shape, then we tie the steel, run the plumbing, and shoot the gunite or shotcrete shell that gives the pool its strength.
After the shell cures, the build turns to the parts your feet and eyes meet every day: the waterline tile, the coping around the rim, the plaster or pebble interior, and the deck and hardscape that frame the water. Each stage rests on the one before it, which is exactly why a single crew that owns the whole run finishes cleaner than a relay of separate subcontractors.
